Elect Earl Johnson for City Council District 4

Dear Friends,

On June 8, 2006 I announced my candidacy for Jacksonville City Council District 4. I am running for local office because of a desire to serve the residents of the great community that I had the privilege of growing up in.

For many months I have been visiting citizens throughout District 4 in order to better understand their concerns about the community. While listening to hundreds of individuals discuss District 4, I heard one issue mentioned again and again; neighborhoods.

As a proud father of two, I understand the necessity of a safe, clean, well-kept neighborhood. Our roads and utilities must be maintained, public services must be completed in a timely fashion and our neighborhoods should be a safe place for families.

I have displayed my dedication of helping the community in these areas by serving on boards of organizations like the Child Guidance Center and Crime Stoppers. I believe that the quality of life for our children and the safety of the neighborhoods they grow up in is vital to their future. The issues contained in this letter and many more are the reasons why I want to serve as your next City Councilman.

On March 20, I would be honored to receive your vote and be elected as the next council member for Jacksonville’s District 4. I invite you to continue into my website in order to learn more about myself, why I am running for office, and what I intend to do if elected.

Thank You,
Earl M. Johnson Jr.
